    1st June Jubilee Party

The sun shone and the rain stayed away for the Riverbridge Jubilee Party.

Children and staff from all three bases all met at Park Avenue on the last day of term to celebrate The Queen's Diamond Jubilee. After a great picnic lunch the children enjoyed the activities supplied by the different Learning Area Teams. There was Football, Rugby,  and a Bouncy Castle in the Fun Fit and Healthy area whilst the Arts team provided a Glamour Area including face painting, nails, tattoos and bracelets. The World Around Us was represented by Pinnatas, Pin the Tail on the Corgi, Old Fashion Sweet Shop amongst others and Literacy provided Sponge the Teacher and Guess the Baby as well as other games. Science and Maths created All The Fun of The Fair with a Hoopla game and the ever popular Hook a Duck.

We were also joined by the local Police and Fire Brigade which were real highlights for the children. Finally a Circus Skills performer entertained the children with a hands on show for each age group.

The children all came home with the crafts that they made in the morning as well as a Commemorative Coin, provided by the PTA, to mark the occasion. We hope that the coin will provide a lasting momento and fond memories when the children look back in years to come.

Thank you to all our wonderful helpers on the day, we really appreciate the time that is so freely given. It allows us to enrich our school life and provide these 'extras' that make Riverbridge a school to be proud of.
